Set off on a 10km excursion of about 6 hours on one of the most varied trails with your knowledgeable guide!
Start your excursion next to Caminho das Lagoas in the central highlands at about 830 meters above sea level. The scenic beauty you will explore along the trail is the result of the lava flows from the historic eruption of 1562-64. During this excursion, you can observe several geological formations such as ropy lavas, driblet lavas, small lava tubes, and volcanic cones.
After a picnic in the Prainha Forest Park, you will walk down the last section through dense vegetation and abandoned vineyards to the Baía das Canas, where the Verdelho wine was once produced. To end on a high note, you will have the opportunity to swim in the clear blue ocean.
