What to expect

Just off the coast of Puerto Vallarta, you'll find the secluded Marietas Islands – and the best snorkelling conditions in the bay. You'll cruise over by catamaran and discover this uninhabited archipelago, trying new water sports and exploring the abundant marine life of this underwater national park.

You'll sail across Banderas Bay towards the Marietas. When the captain drops anchor, you'll be able to explore as you wish – climb into a kayak, plunge into the sea with a snorkel or try stand-up paddleboarding, the new water sport craze. Your bilingual eco-guides will tell you about islands' rocky caverns and archways.

Sail around the islands so that you can catch a glimpse of this unique protected marine ecosystem, where dolphins are a common sight. Whale season runs from December to March. There's also a bird-watching tour and an on-board show after lunch. Rounding off the tour is a visit to the secluded Majahuitas beach.
