Enjoy an unforgettable day visiting the Liébana region and Picos de Europa, one of the nicest areas in Cantabria. You will leave Santander towards Fuente Dé at 7:30 am to be early at the cablecar station in case you want to go to the upper station of Fuente Dé.
The trip with the cablecar is optional and will only take you about 4 minutes to reach a height of 1,823m above sea level. The views from this place are simply breathtaking. If you do not want to take the cable car, you can just enjoy your free time to have a nice walk around the area.
Afterward, you will head towards the Monastery of Santo Toribio. This is one of the four Holy places in the world that offer the Jubilee in Perpetuum. The importance of this Monastery relies on the Lignum Crucis, which is the largest piece of wood of the Cross of Jesus that is kept in this place.
Finally, you will arrive in the village of Potes, this is one of the nicest villages in Spain and the capital of the region. You will stop there for lunch and shopping before heading back to Santander.
