1. Ski the Via Lattea

Sauze d’Oulx gives you access to the Via Lattea (in English - "The Milky Way"), one of the largest ski areas in Italy, with hundreds of kilometres of pistes connecting several resorts. You can spend the day skiing or snowboarding through pine forests and open alpine terrain, with runs for different ability levels. The high-altitude setting also means you'll get plenty of mountain views between runs.

2. Explore the mountains in summer

When the snow disappears, the surrounding slopes become a playground for hiking and mountain biking. You can follow trails through wildflower-filled meadows, head towards high-altitude viewpoints, or cycle along routes through the Susa Valley. The area's network of paths makes it easy to plan anything from a gentle morning walk to a full day in the mountains.

3. Enjoy après-ski and Piedmontese food

Sauze d’Oulx has a livelier atmosphere than some of the surrounding mountain resorts, with bars and terraces filling up after a day on the slopes. You can grab an aperitivo, listen to live music, or settle down for a meal of Piedmontese specialities such as polenta, gnocchi, local cheeses, and cured meats. In summer, the same terraces become relaxed spots for enjoying the long evenings and mountain views.
