Your adventure begins before dawn with an early morning pick-up to witness the sunrise at Angkor Wat. As you watch the light gently illuminate the temple, you'll then proceed to the city of Angkor Thom. Here, you'll spend time at Bayon Temple, renowned for its Buddha faces intricately carved into stone. Later in the morning, your journey takes you to Ta Phrom Temple. Known from a popular film, its appeal lies in the colossal tree roots entwining the ancient structures.
On the second day, a morning pick-up from your accommodation whisks you back into the heart of the Angkor complex for further exploration. Your first stop is Preah Khan Temple, also known as 'The Father of the King Temple'. From there, you'll move on to Neak Pon, once serving as the Royal Hospital. The day concludes at Preub Temple. Dating back to the tenth century, this brick structure offers a tangible connection to history.
On day 3, you'll journey from Siem Reap to Battambang. Upon arrival in Battambang around mid-morning, you'll stroll through the city, admiring its French colonial-era architecture dotted throughout. After a leisurely lunch, the afternoon leads you to a local monastery and several historical sites in the vicinity. A highlight of the day is a ride on a bamboo train, offering a truly distinct experience. Before dusk, you'll visit a cave where flying bats can be observed, followed by your return journey to Siem Reap.
