You'll learn about its unique fermentation process, cultural significance and place in everyday life, while enjoying a sensory experience that's both unusual and memorable.
The journey continues into the evening with a celebration of Bulgarian folklore, cuisine and ritual. A traditional dinner introduces regional dishes alongside music and dance that reflect the country’s rural heritage and communal spirit. The evening builds towards the powerful Nestinari fire-dancing ritual, a centuries-old tradition recognised by UNESCO, where dancers perform barefoot over glowing embers in a deeply symbolic expression of faith and tradition.
