Away from the coast, you'll find villages that seem suspended in time. And this evening tour lets you experience Croatia's traditions and heritage first-hand, including a tasty home-made dinner, dancing and music in the hamlet of Juretini Dvori.
After a drive through the Dalmatian countryside, you'll arrive at the rustic village of Juretini Dvori just in time for the night's celebrations to begin. First, you'll be handed a welcome drink and some dried fruits from your host, who'll talk you through the history and customs of the area.
Then, you'll be shown how to make traditional Dalmatian soparnik – a pizza-like pie with a Swiss chard and spring onion filling – before dancing and live music ensues in the lead up to dinner time. Lamb with spring onions and potatoes – all traditionally baked under a bell – will be served alongside some local wine.
