Visit Mtskheta town which was a royal city until the 5th century, from where Christianity was spread in Georgia. The city museum is included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. Discover the Jvari Monastery and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, which are both excellent examples of medieval masterpieces. Then, go to Gori and take a walk in the city. At the end of the excursion, visit the cave town – Uplistsikhe, an ancient rock-hewn town. Uplistsikhe – means “the fortress of God” in Georgian.
