Explore the magnificent Algonquin Provincial Park for a 2 or 3-day exploration with a fun group of campers!
Intinerary:
Day 1: The group will embark on a 4-hour drive to the campsite, in which time you'll make an epic stop in Huntsville, and if there's enough time, you can explore its quaint little shops or hope in the lake. Once you arrive, you'll be introduced to your next home for the coming days with a short tent setup demo. After this, you'll have enough time to enjoy the sun and the crisp, refreshing water. You'll end your nights chatting around a group campfire.
Day 2 (only available on the 3 day tour): If you're a fan of trekking, you can choose to wander down the legendary Centennial Ridges Trail. It's a 10.4 kilometers exploration into Algonquin's deep wilderness, the trail is known for wild animal spotting. Alternatively, you can choose to rent a bicycle and ride out on the old Railway Bike Trail which follows a discarded railway line, now shrouded in trees, it's 16 kilometers long from end to end.
Day 3 (Day 2 for the 2 day tour): Grab an early breakfast alongside a cup of coffee and head off to an amazing hike up Booth's Rock Trail, which upon arrival you'll experience the best view from the park, you'll practically be able to touch the sky. You'll then return to camp for a gourmet sandwich spread (with vegan options) prepared by your guide, and plenty more free time to enjoy. Before 2.00pm, you'll say goodbye to your home in the woods and drive up to Lake Opeongo for canoeing/kayaking fun. There, you'll only hear birds calling and the splashing of the paddles on the water. If that's not your thing you can enjoy a 30 minutes hike to the logging museum.
With that, you'll be heading back and arrive in Toronto between 8:30 pm - 9 pm.
