After the pickup from your accommodation, your tour starts taking the Toll Highway to Chichen Itza. This route saves 1-hour and guarantees the safest and shortest travel time. You will arrive at Chichen Itza at 9.15am
On the way to the site, the local expert will tell you several stories about Mexico, the Peninsula of Yucatan, the Riviera Maya, the Mexican traditions, and the Mayan culture. Once at Chichen Itza, the first place you will visit is the Kukulkan Castle. You will have an intimate encounter with the pyramid and take advantage to take great pictures without people. You will feel that the archaeological site was open exclusively for you! The guide will give you an extensive narrative about the site and the Mayan culture. The archeological site of Chichen Itza is a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1988 and one of the Seven Wonders of the modern world since 2007.
After the visit to Chichen Itza, you will relax inside a cenote. The Mayas believed that cenotes are sacred places with magical powers. The selected cenote for this tour is located at the Hacienda Oxman (25 minutes from Chichen Itza). During the trip, you will pass several small villages so you will be able to discover the rural side of Yucatan State and some of the local life.
Next, you will visit the colonial town of Valladolid, founded in 1543 AC, it is one of the oldest cities in Yucatan. You will have lunch in a local restaurant in the main square. After lunch, you can explore the town on your own. Then, you will be taken back to your accommodation.
