Experience the magic of the Uyuni Salt Flats on this day trip including the Train Graveyard, Colchani, Ojos de Agua Salada, a lunch near “Isla Incahuasi” and a glass of wine at sunset!
Your trip starts with a drive out to the Uyuni Salt Flats and a first stop at the haunting "Train Graveyard’. You'll see the first locomotives in Bolivia, and learn about their history. Now corroded from the strong salt winds, this is a great photo setting! Next, you'll visit the small settlement of Colchani where you'll find handicrafts made of salt, and textile art manufactured of llama and alpaca wool. Cruise along the vast white expanse of salt, wade through “Ojos de Agua Salada” and visit a hotel made completely out of salt.
After a morning of exploration, lunch will be served near “Isla Incahuasi” (Fish Island). Then you'll have free time to hike to the top of the island to see giant cacti, and rock formations made of petrified coral. Take fun perspective- and proportion-distorted photos set on the blinding white surface of the salt flats!
Top off your day with a beautiful sunset over the salt flats and a glass of wine.
