Prepare to discover Pogliaghi House Museum during some extraordinary openings, with visits at fixed times. This is a unique occasion to know the eclectic house of the Milanese artist and collector in the suggestive winter atmosphere. Temperatures do not allow a continuous opening and for this reason the access to the House Museum will be possible only in fixed hours and with a guided tour.
A great art lover and a well-rounded artist, Pogliaghi, created an eclectic villa, inside which it is possible to admire an international art collection, ranging from Egyptian sarcophagi and Greek-Roman finds to porcelain and oriental prints, exhibited next to the works of the artist himself, among which the original life-size plaster model of the door of Milan Cathedral stands out. In total, the house museum hots more than 1500 works including paintings, sculptures and applied arts and about 580 archaeological objects.
Owned by the Veneranda Biblioteca Ambrosiana of Milan, it was reopened to the public in 2014.
