Participate in the sweetest event of the Venice Carnival in Costume® to be held in the campiello (small square) with an unusual glass ceiling at the Hotel Splendid Venice. Enjoy a tasty hot chocolate and Venetian biscuits in a festive atmosphere. A classical music trio will accompany the dance master and his partner during a dance lesson. You will learn the basic steps of period dances from the 1700s and will be able to replicate them easily.
In the 1500s, the Hotel Splendid Venice was a place known as Locanda Cappello Nero (Black Hat Inn). In 1900 it changed its name to Hotel Splendido and then in 1930 into Hotel Splendid, a fantastic setting for this masked event.
