Do not miss the chance to visit one of Denmark’s best-preserved ancient monuments; the atmospheric The Viking Museum Lindholm Høje.
Located on a hilltop with a view of Aalborg you can explore a large Viking burial ground with nearly 700 graves from the Iron Age and Viking Age. The graves of the Vikings were marked by stone circles, which still stand in hundreds today.
At the adjoint museum, you can learn more about the people who lived and died in the area up until around the year 1000 AD. Exhibitions include archeological finds from the graves and much more.
At the museum, you will find a great shop, where you can buy various memorabilia related to the Vikings and the site. At the museum café, you can enjoy a nice lunch or afternoon coffee.
