Embark on a journey through Old Town Alexandria and cycle to Mount Vernon, the residence of America's first president. This experience includes bicycle hire, unrestricted access to Mount Vernon's grounds and a boat ride back to Washington DC. It's ideal for families and solo travellers alike.

To make the most of your day, an early morning start is recommended when the rental shop opens. The boat departs from Mount Vernon in the afternoon and docks at Pier 4 on Water Street SW, Washington DC. Alternatively, you can cycle back to the starting point in Alexandria or, for a small additional charge, secure the bicycles at Mount Vernon and arrange your own return transport.
