What to expect

Go on a journey and travel back in time. Experience life in the Middle Ages, the time of the Romans, and the prehistoric.

Start in the prehistoric times to meet the hunters and collectors. Visit a Mesolithic hut and find out how these hunters lived. You will slowly move forward in history visiting the first farmers, the bronze age and iron age.

You will then arrive in a Roman city. Spot the bathhouse, temple, and Roman inn, all build just as the real Romans once did. Become a true Roman and enjoy a Roman massage, make a fibula, or go on a spices hunt.

In the town of Gravendam people live just as they did in the Middle Ages. Visit the baker, the blacksmith, or the woodworker to watch their work. Become a knight and try sword fighting, archery, or make your own felt bracelet. There is something to do for everyone!

Finally, you can visit the Roman Museum to become an archaeologist and admire different findings. Listen to the stories of Roman soldiers and locals and learn about their lives.
