What to expect

The Zipaquirá Salt Cathedral is a marvel of engineering and architecture located a few kilometers from Bogotá. Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the cathedral is located 180 meters underground in a salt mine that has been exploited since 1801.

This tour will take you through underground tunnels carved into the rock salt, you will be able to admire an impressive work of religious art, rove around at your own pace with an audio guide available in more than 5 languages and with the possibility of making a stop in the town of Zipaquirá to learn a little more about the environment surrounding the mine.

Meeting Point 1: Parque de los Periodistas in La Candelaria (Cl. 16 N° 04–03) at 8:00 am. Meeting Point 2: Parque de la 93 at 9:00 am. Please arrive at each meeting point 10 minutes before the scheduled time. You will see the white van and a driver wearing a red jacket waiting for you.
