Cartagena

Cartagena is a city and a major naval station situated in the Region of Murcia, on the Mediterranean coast of Southern Spain.

Well-known in the past for the importance of its port nowadays is a touristic destination due to its Roman, Moorish and Byzantine heritage as well as the 20th centuries buildings in Art Nouveau style. The city is also an important cruise-ship destination and its coast attracts tourists during the summer season due to the high number of quality certified beaches.
