Over 57 million people globally have already experienced the enlightening exhibition. Starting from January 30, 2026, the renowned plastinator Dr. Gunther von Hagens and curator Dr. Angelina Whalley will present their latest exploration of the human body's cycle of creation and decay in Chemnitz: BODY WORLDS & The Cycle of Life. This exhibition offers a multitude of distinctive specimens, including numerous whole-body plastinates, that guide you through the intricacies of the human body.
The exhibition simplifies complex organ functions and common diseases, making them easily comprehensible. The spotlight is on the evolution of the human body over time, from conception to old age. BODY WORLDS vividly illustrates what each individual can do to preserve their health and maintain a high quality of life for as long as possible. It's rare to find an event that so profoundly alters our self-perception!
All specimens displayed in the exhibition are authentic, donated by individuals who chose to contribute their bodies post-mortem for the education of medical professionals and interested laypeople. This decision made during their lifetime ensures that even after death, they continue to educate and inspire.
