Join this full-day cycling tour on a 130-year-old railway branch converted into a bike-friendly Ecopista!
After picking you up in Coimbra, you'll drive to the city of Viseu to enjoy the “Pastel Viriato”, a typical regional sweet. Then, you'll start the bike trip on a 49.3 km linear route in self-guide mode, almost always descending. You'll cross orchards, and vineyards, and discover all the old Ecopista stations and stops, of which Torredeita Station stands out with an old locomotive. The views are magnificent, the northern area is abundant in cork, chestnut, and oak trees. In the south, you'll pass by huge strawberry trees and the Granjal Bridge over the Aguieira reservoir.
The route ends in Santa Comba Dão where you'll pack the bikes in the car and drive back to the starting point in Coimbra.
