An exclusive cycling tour in the heart of the Catalan countryside, this half-day bike route takes you through the wine-producing region of Montsant. And after pedalling your way through some spectacular scenery, you're rewarded with a tasting of local vino at a family-run winery. Martina, one of our local guides, says, "Viticulture define the landscape around here, and it has done for centuries. Most families here still have some connection to the vines, even if wine isn't their main job anymore."
Freewheeling along quiet, country roads, you'll be surrounded by vine-clad hills, barely touched by the passage of time. Passing through rustic villages and spectacular scenery, you'll arrive at the Sangenís i Vaqué winery in the village of Porrera. Nestled on a mountain slope and with the River Cortiella trickling through it, it's a picture of rural idyll.
