Its name means ‘Cape Good' but it's just one of many good things about this full day excursion. You'll get to visit the farmers' market of Menzel Temine, the fortress of Kelibia, the caves of El Haouaria, the Korbous natural hot springs and Cap Bon itself.
Your hidden Tunisia jaunt kicks off in robust style at the farmers' market of Menzel Temine. Here strings of sundried peppers and pyramids of fruit will entice you. You'll also visit the coastal town of Kelibia and its hilltop citadel, which dates from the sixth century. The views from its ramparts of the colourful boats in the fishing harbour below are worth the hike alone.
Next up is a visit to the El Haouaria caves, which are the remnants of quarries from thousands of years ago. You'll then head to the northernmost part of the peninsula, to Cap Bon itself, and then to Korbous natural hot springs. Their bubbling sulphuric waters of up to 60C have been drawing visitors since Roman times.
