You'll start this street food tour at the so called "international crossroad" with a taste of the locally made beer,"bia hoi". After, you'll continue with a walk through some hidden alleyways where you'll be made to taste a noodle soup which is locally known as the "bun thang". The tour will then continue with a stroll to Saint Joseph's Cathedral and Hoan Kiem Lake. You'll also sample "banh goi" (pillow-shaped crispy dumplings served with pungent fish sauce) in a simple restaurant popular with the locals. At this point, you'll carry on through the Old Quarter of Hanoi, a labyrinth of narrow, twisting streets lined with old fashioned shops and local eateries. The next Vietnamese specialty will be a baguette packed with paté and fresh vegetable, followed by salted or sugared dried fruits known as "o mai".
The gastronomic tour will end in the city's oldest cafe with a cup of "egg coffee", a delicious rich espresso with a frothy topping made from whipped sweetened condensed milk and egg yolk.
