What to expect

Begin your private shore excursion with a convenient pick-up directly from Tsuruga Port and travel comfortably in your own private vehicle. Unlike a large group tour, there is no need to keep pace with other travellers, allowing you to explore each destination at your own pace.

Begin at Kehi Jingu Shrine, one of the most important historic shrines in the Hokuriku region, renowned for its impressive vermilion torii gate. Continue to Kehi no Matsubara, one of Japan's three most celebrated pine groves, where a scenic stretch of pine forest borders the coastline.

Next, travel to Rainbow Line Summit Park and take the lift or cable car to enjoy panoramic views over the Mikata Five Lakes and Wakasa Bay. On the return journey, stop at Nihonkai Sakanamachi, a lively seafood market where you can browse local specialities and souvenirs.

If time permits, visit the Port of Humanity Tsuruga Museum and Tsuruga Red Brick Warehouse to learn about Tsuruga's history as an international port before returning to your ship in time for departure.
