We'll take a look around the village and then sample some of that famous honey at a tasting workshop. Heading south, we'll stop at the Monastery of Agios Nicolaos, overlooking the sea. Yiannis says, ‘In the little church, there's a colourful altarpiece dating from 1799, and an important icon of St Nicholas after which the monastery is named.'The nuns sell a few of their home-grown products so you can pick up some dried herbs, olives or preserves if you like. Known locally as ‘Point of the Lady', after an ancient legend, this twisting peninsula is shaped like a lightning bolt, with cliffs on the west coast and views out to sea.
