After pick-up, you will be transferred to the starting point of the hike. The impressive Galicica Mountain forms a natural boundary between Lake Ohrid and Lake Prespa and is protected as one of North Macedonia's national parks. With its vast landscapes and rich biodiversity, this area is considered one of the country's most beautiful natural treasures. The mountain's highest peak, Magaro, reaches an altitude of 2,254 meters.
The hike begins along the forested slopes of the Galicica Mountains, accompanied by an experienced mountain guide. Along the trail, you'll encounter diverse flora and fauna and enjoy several breathtaking viewpoints overlooking Lake Ohrid, lying nearly 500 meters below.
The route passes through three traditional mountain villages, where you'll learn about local life and the remarkable ways residents have endured the region's harsh winters throughout history.
After approximately 3.5 hours of hiking and 6 kilometers of scenic trails, you'll arrive at a secluded beach, accessible only by boat. Here, you'll have free time to relax on sun beds, which are included in the tour, or take a refreshing swim—so don't forget to bring your swimming gear and towel. There is also a beachside restaurant where you may choose to enjoy lunch at your own expense while soaking in the tranquil surroundings before the return journey.
