Zante is just a short hop across the Ionian Sea. On this full day excursion, you'll explore the island by bus, visiting an organic olive oil factory and typical villages along the way. You'll also get to taste some popular local products.
After landing, you'll head for Lithakia to learn about olive oil production and to sample some of the liquid gold so central the region's gastronomy. Afterwards, there's a boat trip to Smuggler's Cove. Surrounded on three sides by 200m high white cliffs, it can only be reached by sea. Rusting away on the sand is a shipwreck, which has made it one of the world's most photographed beaches. Admire the views and take a few snaps as your captain drops anchor at some nearby sea caves for the chance to swim.
Next, head inland by coach to the village of Maries, where there's free time for lunch. In the afternoon, drive through woods to Volimes, an out-of-the-way hamlet famed for its sweets. You'll get to taste some as well as local wine at a roadside stall.
