What to expect

Explore the unique Pink Lake and visit a reserve that protects the biggest tortoises in Africa.

Depart from RIU Baobab and head to Pink Lake, famous for being the last stage of the former Dakar Rally. Upon arrival, you will have a 4x4 tour around the lake to the salt harvesters. Admire the wind dunes and enjoy short stops at the lake and on the beach.

Then, have a delicious lunch and head to discover the Noflaye Tortoises botanic reserve to see a great diversity of tortoises. Explore this protection center for one of the biggest turtles in the world living in the Sahelian zone. Learn how to prevent the extinction of some endangered species. Discover how some areas are being repopulated and hear about "Geochelone Sulcata" that weight can reach 100kg.

After your excursion, you will go back to Riu Baobab.
