Acadia National Park self-driving audio tour

Know in advance:

• Temporary update: A section of the Park Loop Road, from Kebo Street to Sieur de Monts, will be closed to all uses from April 13 to June 12, excluding Memorial Day Weekend. A detour will redirect motorists to Mount Desert Street and Main Street following Route 3 to re-enter the Park Loop Road at Sieur de Monts
• Acadia National Park experiences seasonal closures, including the Park Loop Road from December to mid-April, with limited vehicle access. Some visitor centres and facilities may also be closed. For more details, visit the official National Park Service website
• The Maine Bundle (Option 2 in the calendar) includes: Acadia National Park Self-Driving Audio Tour; Acadia's Mount Desert Island Tour; Acadia's Ocean Path Walking Tour; Bar Harbor Walking Tour; Portland Driving Audio Tour; Portland Downtown Walking Tour
• All tours are self-guided; no guide will accompany you, and attraction tickets are not included. The app functions as a guide, an audio tour, and a map, all in one
• After booking, you'll receive an email from the activity provider with instructions for setting up the tour while you have Wi-Fi/data. Please don't wait until you are on-site
• This tour has no expiration date. You can use it on any trip, as many times as you like
• Works perfectly without Wi-Fi/data with offline maps
• The audio stories play on their own based on your location. You can start anytime and pause anywhere
• Most stops along the tour have animated videos, allowing you to visualise what you cannot see, such as snapshots from different centuries or interior rooms
• Please arrange for a vehicle before you take the tours. You only need to book one tour per vehicle, not per person

Remember to bring:

• The tour requires a supported mobile device for navigation. Please use an iPhone with iOS 15 or later, an Android device with Android 9 or later, or an iPad/tablet with GPS and cellular service
