What to expect

Explore the prison of Alcatraz with an exclusive evening access! You will start your tour near Ghirardelli Square and reach the heart of Fisherman’s Wharf.

There, you will stop at the Boudin Bakery and try San Francisco's sourdough bread. Then, you will reach Pier 39 and have some time to admire San Francisco's sea lions before taking the ferry to Alcatraz island.

Once arrived, you will enjoy a short introductory tour with a Park Ranger and then continue with a self-guided tour around the island. During your exploration, an audio guide will tell you about stories from former prisoners, correctional officers and even children that once lived in the island. At the end of the tour, you will take the ferry back to San Francisco.
