What to expect

Depart from San Pedro de Atacama towards the Domeyko Mountains, where you'll enjoy the desert landscape and the breathtaking view of the Andes. Your tour continues to the 'Yerbas Buenas' area, where is possible to find volcanic rock formations that tell us the history of the people who inhabited the place through their petroglyphs.

Then, you'll cross Matancilla, a land of ancient shepherds and old farms and reach the Valle de Arcoíris (Rainbow Valley), which owes its name to the hills of different colors such as red, green, blue, gray and violet; which show its mineral composition.

Your last stop will be Rio Grande, a town that seems frozen in time, with typical buildings of adobe mud and stone, you'll walk around its old streets and enjoy its originality.
