Upon meeting the local family and enjoying your first drink, you'll have the chance to assist them in meal preparation. Or, if you prefer, you can simply observe, jot down notes, and capture the moment with photographs. Just relax and savour the experience.
All host families have at least a basic command of English, providing an opportunity to converse and gain insights into everyday life in their country. Feel free to discuss anything you're curious about with your hosts, including sharing aspects of your own culture and homeland. Most host families are genuinely interested in learning about other cultures.
