Leave the bustle of Tokyo behind and discover the cultural heritage and natural beauty of Nikko on this full-day excursion. Travel to the historic mountain city of Nikko in Tochigi Prefecture, home to some of Japan's most celebrated landmarks. Begin with a visit to the striking Shinkyo Bridge, a sacred vermilion bridge spanning the Daiya River and marking the entrance to Nikko's UNESCO World Heritage area.
Continue to Nikko Toshogu Shrine, the ornate mausoleum of Tokugawa Ieyasu, founder of the Tokugawa Shogunate. Admire the richly decorated buildings, detailed carvings and renowned features, including the Three Wise Monkeys and the Sleeping Cat. The journey then follows scenic mountain roads towards Kegon Waterfall, one of Japan's most famous waterfalls.
