What to expect

Welcome aboard the traditional wooden Åfjordsboat Frøya!

Sailed by a team of passionate local captains and guides, the boat will take you on an unforgettable journey on the river Nidelva flowing through the very heart of Trondheim. You will, among many other things, see the Nidaros cathedral, the channel area and old harbor, the colorful wharves Bryggerekka and the old city bridge with its red portals of luck.

A local guide will tell you both the old and the new tales of the town, introducing you to its history, culture and people. You will discover an authentic experience of the city, suitable for locals and visiting guests.

What to remember

Please arrive at the meeting point 10 minutes ahead of the departure time
This tour operates with a maximum of 12 people
Dressing according to the weather is recommended as this is an outdoor experience
The tour runs rain or shine as long as the conditions are safe. Warm blankets are available on board for your comfort
In case the tour won't run due to extreme weather conditions, minimum number of participants or other unforeseen circumstances, you will be informed in advance and you will receive an option to reschedule or a full refund
