During the “Work with the young stallions” spectators get interesting insights into the work routines of the riders and their young Lipizzaners, the stars of tomorrow.
This new program displays how the traditions, which have been practiced at the Spanish Riding School for the last 457 years, are transferred almost unchanged to the present day. For those visitors who are neither horse experts nor riders, the training of the young stallions is particularly captivating, as the exercises are explained in detail, demonstrating the commitment and hard work required to achieve perfection as each rider and horse strives for perfection.
Targeted training of the basic gaits "walk, trot and canter", the basis of perfection for every equestrian rider, are the main elements of the exercises for these young Lipizzaner talents. Over the course of the 45-minute program, spectators will observe how each stallion is trained according to his nature personality. Indeed, able viewers might recognize one of the young stallions has the talent to execute a perfect capriole or courbette after having completed his training.
