During this one day tour you will explore the ancient city and a capital of Armenia: Yerevan. This place offers you old architecture masterpieces and historical places like Republic Square and Victory Park. You will visit two museums as well, one of them offers you ancient historical manuscripts and another one some pieces of modern art. Furthermore you will taste one of the best brandies in the world at the Ararat brandy company.
The tour starts at 9:00. You will travel through the city in a comfortable minibus and learn about the history of Yerevan, one of the most ancient cities in the world, founded in 782 BC. You will stop at the city’s most famous sights, including Republic Square, Victory Park, Cascade Complex with its art installations and the Genocide Memorial Complex.
After discovering the old city of Yerevan, you will continue getting acquainted with Armenia by visiting Matenadaran, a museum, depository of ancient manuscripts and scientific research institute. In Matenadaran are kept nearly 20.000 manuscripts which include not only Armenian, but also foreign originals. You will discover Matenadaran with the help of the local guide. Go then to the Museum of Yervand Kochar, a world-famous Armenian artist and sculptor. Yervand Kochar is a representative of Modern Art, whose work was exhibited together with those of Picasso, Brancusi, Arp, Braque and others.
You will then visit Yerevan Brandy Company Ararat. Here you will immerse yourself in the centuries-old history of legendary Ararat brandy and learn the secrets of modern production. After the tour with the local guide you will taste two brandies from the Ararat range.
