This guided tour is dedicated to the Jewish history of Amsterdam, from the earliest jews arrivals to today's time. It also includes a ticket to the Anne Frank's House, which serves now as a memorial site for all Jewish people who suffered terribly during the Second World War. You will visit the museum at your own pace and personally envision what happened on this very spot.
Itinerary
This tour will start with a tour of the diamond factory and continue with a visit to the impressive Portuguese Synagogue. Built in 1675, it' still amazingly beautiful with its fully intact seventeenth-century interior, magnificently carved silver objects, antique books and sacred textiles for the religious ceremonies in the Synagogue.
Next stop on the tour will be the Jewish Historical Museum. Religion, culture and history of the Jews in the Netherlands and its former colonies are the main focus of the museum's collection. The museum has over 13,000 works of art, ceremonial items and historical objects. Your tour leader will guide you through the museum and of course there will be some time left to explore the museum on your own.
Finally, a professional driver will bring you to the Anne Frank House. Anne Frank entrusted her diary with her experiences and has left us with a detailed description of the daily live in the secret annex on the Prinsengracht in Amsterdam. Led by your guide through through a special fast track entrance, you will skip the line and visit the Anne Frank House on your own.
