In the autumn of 2026, H'ART Museum, in partnership with a renowned Parisian art centre, will showcase a grand exhibition dedicated to Henri Matisse (1869-1954).
This esteemed Parisian institution boasts one of the rare collections featuring works from all stages of this artist's life. The exhibition will display over thirty pieces by Matisse, including paintings, sculptures and prints. These will be complemented by works from his contemporaries such as George Braque, Picasso, Sonia Delaunay, and Le Corbusier, as well as those who followed in his footsteps, including Barnett Newman, Ellsworth Kelly, and Mark Rothko.
The exhibition aims to demonstrate how Matisse not only revolutionised painting but also left an indelible mark on the art world of his era and beyond. His relentless pursuit of colour, form, and emotion solidified his position as one of the most influential artists of the twentieth century. It's no surprise that Picasso once remarked, "No matter how you look at it, in the end there is only Matisse."
