A unique situation arose in Berlin after the fall of the Wall: in the middle of an existing major city, huge open spaces were created on the former death strip. Renowned architects from all over the world competed to help build what is now called the Neue Mitte. At the end of the tour, you have the option to visit the Panorama Point at Potsdamer Platz with a nice view over the center of Berlin.
