Mother Nature's creative and destructive powers steal the show in this full day excursion. You'll skirt the beautiful Bay of Naples by boat, explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Pompeii and discover the amazing Amalfi Coast, visiting some of its villages along the way.
After an early pick-up, you'll catch a ferry across the bay to Naples. From here, it's on to Pompeii – the Roman city buried under a layer of burning ash by a Mt Vesuvius's violent volcanic eruption in 79 AD. A guided tour will bring to life this well-preserved archaeological site, giving you a snapshot of the ancient world.
Next, we'll drive along the coast road to Amalfi, with a photo stop at the panoramic lookout point over Sorrento. There's a break for lunch in the charming hamlet of Praiano. In the afternoon, head to Amalfi town. Here, you'll have free time visit its cathedral – famed for its fabulous façade – and stroll around its steep streets.
