Head out of the city towards the Wiltshire countryside and explore the enigmatic remnants of the Stone Age while your guide fills you in on what we know (and what we are still trying to figure out) about these mysterious prehistoric creations.
The first stop on your tour will be West Kennet Long Barrow, a Neolithic tomb built nearly 6,000 years ago. You’ll be able to see the tomb itself and the enormous Silbury Hill that is actually a chalk mound built for reasons that still remain unclear but your guide will fill you in on some of the most popular theories.
Then, you'll pass by yet another UNESCO World Heritage Site, Avebury, before heading to Bath. This city doesn't just have a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is one! Here, you’ll learn its colorful history and admire the Georgian Architecture before visiting the Roman Baths and hearing all about this ancient health club and it’s history.
Your final stop is the world-famous Stonehenge, another Neolithic monument that is among the most spectacular and least understood ancient archeological sites in the world. Your guide will be able to tell you its story as you stroll around its perimeter.
