The inside story
Various bits of London feature in each of the Harry Potter movies, either as background detail or dedicated locations. Even the parts that don’t feature may have influenced JK Rowling in her imaginings of Potter’s world. That’s the beauty of London, which is inextricably bound with centuries of classic storytelling.
You’ll be able to visit Platform 9 3/4 and buy a wand at the shop next door. You can also see 12 Grimmauld Place and the sites used for the Leaky Cauldron. If you have your list of school supplies, wander in Leadenhall Markets, where Diagon Alley was filmed. Try to spot Olivanders and Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes! Gringott’s Bank is here, too, and Millennium Bridge where Harry and friends were chased by Death Eaters.
