A half-day exploring the towering peaks around Nuns Valley is on the cards with this tour. The tour gets going with an exciting drive towards Nuns Valley, dipping in and out of valley-side roads and clinging to mountain paths. Stop for a breather at the Pico dos Barcelos, where the views over the valley are staggering, then delve down to take the road towards Pico do Arieiro. After you've climbed 1818m, there's another pause for thought at the viewpoint overlooking the landscape and coast. Finally, it's into the Santo da Serra nature park, Parque Ribeira Primeira.
