The inside story
Niagara Falls is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the world and one of the seven natural wonders of the world. It consists of three waterfalls: Horseshoe Falls (or Canadian Falls) being the largest, followed by American Falls and lastly Bridal Veil Falls. Located on the border of the United States and Canada, Niagara Falls attracts around 30 million visitors yearly and dates back 12,000 years.
There are numerous boat excursions and sightseeing tours that you can do when visiting Niagara Falls. The oldest and most well-known attractions are the boat cruises that bring you into the rapids of the Niagara River just in front of the falls. The Maid of The Mist operates from the American side and the Hornblower Cruises from the Canadian side. Make sure to bring an extra change of clothes as you're guaranteed to get soaked!
