This full-day shore excursion takes you to visit two of Campania's most iconic sights, Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius, departing directly from Salerno port. Access to both sites is included, helping you maximise your time ashore.
The day begins at Molo Manfredi, where you'll board an air-conditioned vehicle for the journey to the Pompeii archaeological site. Here, a local guide specialising in archaeology will lead a two-hour tour through the remains of the ancient Roman city. Your route is designed to showcase some of the most significant landmarks of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, including a temple, market, shop, villa, bathhouse, theatre and the forum. You'll also stop at a traditional cameo factory to see local craftsmanship inspired by Roman traditions.
The tour then continues to Mount Vesuvius. You'll have around two hours of free time to explore Vesuvius National Park at your own pace and take in views across the Bay of Naples. Local volcanological guides are available on-site to provide assistance and information during your visit.
