What to expect

Meet LGBTQ+ Amsterdammers from the Middle Ages through today. From queer Resistance heroes to a 17th-century lesbian love triangle, these stories inspire and entertain. This tour goes across Amsterdam’s history and through the full LGBTQIA+ spectrum.

The walking tour starts near the site of the world’s first legal gay marriage and goes through Amsterdam’s canal belt, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Groups are limited to a maximum of 8 people, so you get a lot of time for questions and conversations with the guide.

You’ll leave with a deep understanding of Amsterdam’s LGBTQIA+ history, as well as some beautiful pictures of the city.
