De Palm Island Bus Tour

De Palm Island Bus Tour

Just a few miles from the mainland, De Palm is not your average desert island. Rather than vacant sands, this place is home to a waterpark and an all-inclusive bar and restaurant. You'll hop over for a day of family fun – snorkelling with parrot fish, slipping down slides and unlimited goes on the banana boats.Snorkelling is the most popular activity here. The coral reef, just a few swimming strokes from the shore, is one of the best places to use your mask and flippers in Aruba. The blue parrot fish are hard to get your head around at first. These bright blue metre-long fish look like cartoon characters. There are ways to upgrade your time here, too. A snuba session, for example, is a hybrid of snorkelling and scuba diving, or sea trekking is the new thing to try. Hit the all-you-can-eat buffet with drinks for lunch and spend the rest of the day making the most of this pleasure-seekers' island – volleyball, salsa, ziplines – you name it.

Aruba Sunset Cruise

Sunsets are the house special in Aruba. And they're not something you ever get used to. On this trip, you'll watch the dusk descend on the island from the deck of a catamaran and have a cocktail bar on tap as you drink in the views. Even after years of living on the island, the locals still pile down to Palm Beach every day to splash about in the water as the sun sinks into the Caribbean Sea. You'll sail out into the bay for uninterrupted views of this nightly spectacle, and there'll be a bar on board where you can get the cocktails in for you and your loved one. Look at your drink then look at the sun, and you'll notice a chameleon quality between the two. Just before nightfall, the light turns woo woo-pink then bloody Mary-red. You'll head back to the mainland after a two-hour cruise, just as the early-bird diners begin sitting down for dinner.

Andicuri Trail Off-road UTV Adventure

This adrenaline-pumping safari gets you up close to Aruba's dramatically rugged coastline along the Andicuri Trail. Your vehicle will be a UTV – a cross between a golf buggy and a quad bike – that'll zoom you into this remote corner of the island with plenty of speed and clouds of dust behind you.A UTV is the best way to explore Andicuri Beach, located on Aruba's isolated north-eastern coast. And when you arrive, you'll see the powdery sands, which are flanked by rocky formations, and the powerful waves that make this secluded cove a big hit with bodyboarders.Later, you'll stop for photos at the ruins of a 19th-century gold mine, and at the bright yellow Chapel of Alto Vista. The last stop will be the California Lighthouse, which watches over Arashi Beach on Aruba's north-western tip.
