Bogotá is located in a savanna formed by the eastern mountain range of the Andes at an altitude of 2600 meters above sea level. Although most of the city is quite flat, the city borders on the east with an incredible mountain range, known as the Eastern Hills, which follows the extension of the city from south to north. These mountains are completely unknown to many locals and visitors. There are several hiking trails to discover one of the capital's greatest natural treasures.
This tour begins early in the morning when a guide will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the starting point, right on the edge of the city. You can walk until you reach a viewpoint from where you have the opportunity to admire a unique view of the city. The guide explains to you about the competition between native and foreign species, the environmental concerns facing Bogotá, and much more.
