Merlotta Vini was founded in 1962 by Paolo Minzolini and his wife Giovanna Mimmi. After twenty years spent as farmworkers, they bought the winery starting to chase their dream. The most representative wines, Romagna DOC Sangiovese Superiore Riserva and Romagna DOCG Albana Secco late harvest, are dedicated to them.
During this tour with tasting, you will come into close contact with the world of wine, discovering the long journey that the grapes make before arriving in the houses, restaurants and clubs in the form of the famous nectar of the gods, wine.
The program of the visit is divided as follows: at 10.00am welcome and presentation of the farm; afterward you will visit the vineyards and you will be shown the types of farming and planting, the management methods, the type of grape varieties present and agronomic management.
Around 10.30am you will visit the winery, the rooms for grapes and subsequent processing. You will be explained the method of sparkling winemaking adopted and the bottling process. You will also visit the premises of refinement.
At 11.00am it's time for a guided tasting of the wines produced on the farm paired with local appetizers, while at noon you will have access to the wine shop for purchases and greetings.
