Constanta is the third-largest city in Romania and one of the largest ports in Europe – and this experience gives you half a day to explore it. Our first stop on this city tour will be the History and Archaeology Museum. Outside, a statue of Publius Ovidius Naso, the exiled Roman poet, will be waiting to greet you. Inside, meanwhile, you'll find fascinating exhibits gathered from all over the Dobrogea region – the territory divided between Bulgaria and Romania. Next up, you'll make a quick visit to the city's cathedral, as well as the now-empty Constanta Casino. The latter was built on a clifftop at the start of the 20th century, and its outer white stone walls and ornate arches make for a great photo stop. You'll finish your tour with a drive through the resort of Mamaia – a real weekend hot-spot for the locals due to its sandy beaches – before heading back to your ship.
